“It kicks off with a chord in fortissimo. The HSO plays the Mozart Overture intensely throughout, like a real opera orchestra, almost as if they wanted to sing the roles themselves. And when the whole path begins to squeak and scratch in Kopatchinskaya's "Danse macabre", an inevitable shock occurs to the ears.”
